Covid-Conscious Dance Olympics!

Service Description

This camp is for the members of our community that are still Covid-ing. This camp has vaccinations, masks, and daily health and temperature screenings all required. Students will be placed 10 feet apart during snack time (the only time they remove their masks), and the hand sanitizer will be plentiful. Don't send your kid if anyone in your family is sick! Celebrate athletes all over the world by engaging in your very own olympics! Dancers will perform in the opening ceremonies, then compete in various movement challenges. Creative Movement will be the main genre here, with dips into Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary. We won't be dong these sports in actuality, but rather an abstract dance-version of them. For example, with synchronized diving, students will bring a stuffed animal then create their epic dive with a partner - gravity has no hold on us in this event! Students will be the judges, the athletes, and the rockstar performers at the ceremonies. Come flex your dance muscles! Everyone wins!

Cancellation Policy

Inclement weather cancellations will follow Portland Public Schools.
